1) Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

2) Who May Use the Site

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you represent that you have your parent/guardian’s consent.

3) Our Content & Your License to Read

All novels, chapters, images, graphics, audio, and other materials on the Site (the “Content”) are owned by BETWIX & Co. or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other IP laws.
We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access and read the Content for personal, non-commercial use through our normal web interface. No other rights are granted.

4) Prohibited Uses (Important)

You agree not to:

Copy, reproduce, repost, mirror, aggregate, or publicly display the Content, in whole or in part, without our prior written permission.
Translate, adapt, or create derivative works (including fan translations) without written permission.
Use robots, spiders, crawlers, scrapers, data-miners, or similar tools to access or copy the Site or Content, including any attempt to bypass or defeat technical measures (e.g., canvas rendering, watermarks, rate limits, bot filters).
Perform text and data mining (TDM) or use the Content to train, fine-tune, or evaluate any AI or machine-learning systems, models, or datasets.
Download, capture, or reassemble the Content via automated screenshots, OCR, or similar methods for redistribution.
Interfere with the Site’s operation, compromise security, or attempt unauthorized access.

AI/TDM Opt-Out: We expressly opt out of any text/data mining or AI training uses of our Content. No license is granted for TDM under any law or exception. Any such use is prohibited.

5) User Submissions (Comments, Messages)

If you submit comments or materials (“User Content”), you represent you have the right to do so and grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and moderate that User Content in connection with the Site. We may remove or refuse any User Content at our discretion.

6) Access Controls & Technical Measures

We may deploy technical measures (e.g., canvas rendering, watermarks, bot detection, rate-limiting) to protect our IP and reader experience. You agree not to interfere with or circumvent these measures.

7) Links & Third-Party Services

The Site may link to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices.

8) Purchases, Memberships, and Refunds (If Applicable)

If we offer paid memberships, downloads, or other products:

Pricing & Billing: shown at checkout; you authorize us (and our payment processor) to charge your selected method.
Renewals: recurring plans renew automatically until you cancel.
Refunds: unless stated otherwise on the relevant product page, all sales are final once access is granted.
Access: we may modify, suspend, or discontinue features; we’ll try to give reasonable notice where practical.

9) DMCA / Copyright Complaints

We respect intellectual property. If you believe Content on the Site infringes your copyright, please submit a notice to legal@betwix.co with:

Your contact information;
A description of the copyrighted work;
The URL of the allegedly infringing material;
A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized;
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are the owner or authorized to act;
Your physical or electronic signature.
We will review valid notices promptly. (See also our DMCA / Report Infringement page.)

10) Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Site at any time for any reason, including violations of these Terms. You may stop using the Site at any time.

11) Disclaimers

The Site and Content are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties (express or implied), including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

12) Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BETWIX & Co. and its owners, affiliates, and partners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site will not exceed USD $100 (or the amount you paid to us in the 12 months prior to the claim, if greater).

13) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BETWIX & Co., its owners, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Site, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

14) Changes to the Site and to These Terms

We may update the Site and these Terms from time to time. When we post changes, we will update the “Effective Date.” Your continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the new Terms.

15) Governing Law & Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (R.O.C.), without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Taipei, Taiwan for any dispute arising from these Terms or the Site.

16) Miscellaneous

If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
We may assign these Terms; you may not assign them without our consent.
If we provide a translation of these Terms, the English version controls in case of conflict.
