A young entrepreneur, just out of college, partners up with some friends on a passion project, on a shoe string budget of nothing, hunched over in some garage somewhere. It’s like the origin story of almost every tech start up in the 2000’s.
The young entrepreneur is passionate, ambitious, and dreams of changing the world. But success doesn’t come knocking at his door right away. It takes years of product development, scrounging for funds to develop the first prototype, late nights, and spotty support of strangers, friends and family before he sees any traction. This entrepreneur perseveres, ultimately building a billion-dollar empire. Sound familiar?
It should - it’s the origin story of Steve Jobs, the co-founder of Apple Inc. Steve Jobs is the real life example of someone acting on the wisdom of Gary Vee’s quote:
